A key characteristic of ChristChurch is that everyone counts. We believe that God has given talents, abilities, strengths and gifts to every member of the church. We aspire to encourage people to use these God given gifts to serve the people around them. As a result of this there are many co-workers in our church, lots of servant-hearted people, working hard in various areas of church life.

In terms of leadership, ChristChurch currently employs a Minister, who is part of a team of leaders who are responsible for leading, teaching, equipping, maturing and caring for the people in the church. The New Testament calls these leaders Elders.

We also have a group of people who are particularly set aside to look after various practical aspects of running the church, such as organisation of children and youth work, administration, care of buildings and the various rotas that keep the church functioning well.  The Bible calls these leaders Deacons.

At ChristChurch Redbourn we also have a Pastoral Care Worker and a Pastoral Care Team as well as a Youth & Childrens' Worker.

Chris Smith - Minister

Chris has been the minister here since the church began 10 years ago. He lives in Redbourn with his wife Karen and their three children. Chris worked in a church on the South coast for 11 years, during which time he trained at The Proclamation Trust in London, a course focusing on preaching. Before coming to Redbourn, Chris studied at Moore Thoelogical College in Sydney. Aside from Church, Chris enjoys most sports - football, cricket and golf especially.
