Will we meet God? Will God really accept me? Is Jesus worth my time?
It's easy to feel uncertain about things at the moment, and these questions might leave you with more doubt than assurance. Or maybe there are other questions about faith, God, heaven & hell, Christianity, the Bible or Jesus Christ.
Christianity Explored is an informal and relaxed course, lasting 7 weeks, for people who would like to investigate Christianity. Focusing on one account of Jesus’ life, Mark’s gospel, it explores who Jesus is, why he is so important, why he died and what it means to follow him. Each session includes a short DVD, some group discussion, and a chance to ask any questions you like. You won't be asked to pray, sing or read aloud, and if you prefer, you can just join in and listen.
Whether you have previous experience of Church, Christians and the Bible, or none at all, this course is for you. Everyone is welcome – from the most sympathetic Sunday schooler to the convinced atheist, and everyone in between!
Many have found this course to be an excellent tool in helping them to think about the big questions of life, and most have come to realise that cold ritualistic religion is a million miles from the person of Jesus and the difference he can make in our lives.
There are some short videos on the Christianity Explored Website that explain more about this course too. Click here to watch them.
We are running online courses at CCR after half term, from the first week of November, so that you can ask any questions you are uncertain about - all from the cosiness of your home. If you are interested in taking part, or know someone who is, contact Chris Smith or click here to email us for more details.
